Multi Monitor Videowall

Do you ever had a Windows Desktop with five Hi-Resolution widescreen displays?
I can tell you -> thats really cool stuff!

An Architect for whom I worked sometime ago wanted me to build a computersystem for a general public hospital as Artwork. It should have five monitors configured as one desktop for showing extra wide landscape pictures, videos and artwork. He asked me because I have a lot expirience building, repairing and configuring multimonitor CAD workstations. Today building dualscreen systems is easy. There are also a couple of graphiccards around to build systems having 4 screens. But 5 or 6 in a System is difficult and requires special mainboards and graphiccards.

So the main risk here was the correct configuration of the computersystem.
The second risk was to create a Software that is able to handle it.
What I can tell is:

It ended in a Client/Server Software, Splitting Pictures and telling the clients via Sockets what to display.
The whole Software was written in C# .Net 2.0.

Below you can see some pics of the early stadium where I have all Hardware at Home for configuration.
The System is running 24/7 since 2006 in the Hospital "Stifts Klinikum Forchheim".
