As requested by a customer.
He had an old "Golden Western" electronic shooting game and needs some new targets to make the game more attractive. Basically the Game is build with shotguns with a Xenon bulb inside and the targets are just fotodiodes that triggers a Thyristor. The whole game is imported from the U.S.A. and is running at 110V.
The solution was to build 2 Pieces of hardware, one as receiver target (behind the red-white targets), and one (control unit) that interacts if one of the targets are hit. As you can see on the pictures, the control units are in a waterproof housing with an waterproof loudspeaker built in.
The control units also have a Voice-Recorder and an 40W Amplifier inside.
Problematic is the EMV and the Sunlight when it is directly shining on the targets.
On each Target is a PIC12F675 processor and the control units are built around PIC16F873 processors.
Everything is programmed in C language using the Microchip C compiler.

You can see the control units in the right lower corner and behind the rocks.
Now, the two new targets are the most frequently and attractive targets at this game.
Usually you can find the shooting game every year on the Oktoberfest.
